Meaning
The Azhwar opens by praising the faultless first Lord — the pure one, king of the heavenly beings, who dwells on Venkatam hill with its fragrant groves — for graciously making him a servant of His devotees. Before the Lord of Srirangam with its tall ramparts, he feels the sacred lotus feet come of their own accord and fill his eyes.
