Meaning

Born as one mother's son and, that very night, hidden away to grow up as another mother's son, he foiled the murderous designs of Kamsa, who could not bear his existence, and stood like a fire in that tyrant's belly. To this great towering lord the girls come as beggars: if he grants them the drum, they will sing his wealth worthy of Lakshmi and his valor, their sorrows ended, and rejoice.
