Meaning
In a mansion of flawless gems, with lamps burning all around and incense drifting, a girl sleeps on her soft bed; the friends ask her to lift the latch of the jeweled door. They tease her mother too: won't the aunt wake her, or is the daughter mute, deaf, worn out, or bound in some spell of deep guarded sleep? Meanwhile they keep chanting his many names: the great wonder-worker, Madhava, lord of Vaikuntha.
