Meaning

We are the servants who wear the yellow garment you have worn and set aside, eat what remains in your vessel, and adorn ourselves with the tulasi you have worn and cast off. Faithfully completing whatever errands you send us on, in whichever direction, we sing many years on the Shravana festival to you who recline on the fresh serpent bed.
