Meaning

Radiance is spreading across every direction: the crowded stars have dimmed, the cool moon has gone pale, and the blanket of darkness has lifted. The early-morning wind carries the scent of areca spathes splitting open in the green groves. The poet asks the Lord of Srirangam, whose beautiful large hand bears the blazing discus of battle, to wake and rise.
