Meaning

Cowherds are untying their young buffaloes on the high ground, and the sound of their bamboo flutes joins the bells at the bulls' necks, the music spreading in every direction until the swarms of bees scatter from the fields. The poet hails the Lord as the hero whose bow withered the clan of Lanka, who guarded the great sage's sacrifice and took the bath that crowns it, the king of Ayodhya. He asks this Lord of Srirangam to rise from his rest.
