Meaning

Birds are calling from the flowering groves, night has slipped away, and the murmur of the eastern sea blends into the brightening dawn. The gods have already arrived carrying garlands woven of many flowers, humming with delighted bees, waiting to bow at the Lord's feet. So the poet asks the Lord of this temple, where the king of Lanka himself once worshipped, to awaken.
