கோயில் நின்று இங்ஙனே போந்தருளி * கோப்பு உடைய

Meaning
They picture a majestic lion that has slept through the rains in its mountain den: it wakes, its eyes flash fire, it shakes out its mane in every direction, stretches, roars, and strides forth. Just so, they ask the lord whose color is the dark kaya blossom to come graciously out of his dwelling. Let him sit on his splendid, finely wrought lion-throne and consider with kindness the purpose for which they have come.
