Research

Independent turbulence-modelling projects, documented as case studies: the problem, the method, and results validated against published data.

Anisotropic Spalart–Allmaras in OpenFOAM

A custom OpenFOAM turbulence model extending an anisotropic Reynolds-stress hypothesis to Spalart–Allmaras: baselines verified against NASA and DNS data; recovers the DNS ordering of the normal stresses and drives square-duct secondary flow at DNS-comparable magnitude where stock SA gives exactly zero.

A DNS→LES hybrid testbed on Xcompact3d

One solver, two fidelities: grid-converged DNS of the Taylor–Green vortex, a priori subgrid analysis, matched coarse-grid LES, and a DNS→LES handoff that hands the decay to the coarse grid after DNS carries the dissipation peak.

Publications & open contributions

From my undergraduate CFD and heat-transfer research at PES University. The two journal/conference papers are peer-reviewed; the FOSSEE entry is a quality-checked open case study.
